Established in 1746, this fern bed is in London at Richmond Park’s Sidmouth Wood. Fallen trees and debris are not cleared away in this 2500-acre park, protecting ancient ecosystems and providing opportunities for the enduring development of vegetation, insects, and wildlife. In these images, I’m aiming to capture the lushness of this medieval woodland under story.
