I spent many summers in Italy with my former student, Philippa Stannard. One summer we got cheap plastic Holga cameras to photograph the countryside around Perugia. As we drove about, we wanted to experience photographing in a more experimental, less controlled way.  We were photographers in search of whatever tickled our visual antennas.
